<DIV>Leslie: Again thanks for your help. I've run into the "Name Game" on my mothers's side of our family. Her maiden name was Cora Belle DYE. When I tracked the Dye name back I found that through time the name changed.</DIV>
<DIV>The first was DUYTZ as the family left Denmark, then came DEE, Then DAY, then DYE. In early times few people could read and /or write, and often people would dictate there messages to a writer . Depending on the period of the times and accent of the speaker the spelling and pronounciation the name could and did get changed. Just say DYE with a middle English accent and it comes out somethin close to DYE.</DIV>
