<DIV>I've been monitoring this particular thread and can't understand how anyone might get a virus from a .pdf attachment especially throught this listserver with all of it's virus cleaning ability. The fact that it was a 14Mb file (which is rather large for a .pdf file) might be a problem for those with 56k modems and old pre-pentium computers, etc... But in today's broadband world, that shouldn't take very long to download. So, I'm not quite understanding how this file might have taken down someones hard drive, etc.. Very difficult to get a virus through a listserver these days. Just be wary of files that end in .exe, .pif or .scr. These usually are the most popular types sent around the internet as virus attachments. I'm sure most of you realize this but I thought I'd post a reminder. NOW.. back to Oregon genealogy!!</DIV>
