<DIV>At least one family [Safley, Jesse] that was in Center, Linn,
Oregon in 1930</DIV>
<DIV>was in West Halsey Precinct, Linn, Oregon on the 1920

<DIV>Hi Bob,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks! ancestry may be wrong on this, they are a some
times.</DIV>
<DIV> U.S. Census > 1930 United States Federal Census >
Oregon > Linn > Center ></DIV>
<DIV>District 13</DIV>
<DIV>It could be Central, Linn Co., OR. Yes, that helps a lot, I will
search</DIV>
<DIV>under that name.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I'm researching this also because this could be where my
g-grandfather</DIV>
<DIV>William Lydall (born 1867 in Michigan) may be buried there as he
lived there</DIV>
<DIV>in the 1930 census & the Archie Fred Lydall I found in todays
Obit. was</DIV>
<DIV>William's son & brother to my Grandma.</DIV>

<DIV>Nancy: The "Oregon Geographic Names" has no Center, Linn
Co. Oregon.</DIV>
<DIV>However, there is a Central, Linn Co. Oregon. Listed. It
was one of the</DIV>
<DIV>first post offices in what is now Linn, Co. it was
established June 13,</DIV>
<DIV>1852, Joel Ketchum was postmaster. It was discontinued
April 19, 1861.</DIV>
<DIV>Early maps show the place about nine miles east of Albany and a
little</DIV>
<DIV>south.</DIV>
<DIV>Hope this helps you.</DIV>

<DIV>-------------- Original message --------------</DIV>
<DIV>Hi,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I just today found my grandmother's brother: Archie Fred Lydall in
today's</DIV>
<DIV>Obits (neat!) & who was born in Wallowa, Oregon, So then I knew
he had to be</DIV>
<DIV>my Lydall family. So I kept on doing my research & I have found
him in the</DIV>
<DIV>1930 census records as living in Center, Linn Co., Oregon in
1930.</DIV>
<DIV>My question is... does any one know where Center is located in Linn
Co.?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks! Nancy</DIV>
