<DIV>or places North. Some trains by 1883 came by way of LA to SF.

<DIV>My People came from Minn. in 1880, and antother group in 1883.

<DIV>latter group to get inland took a train from Portland south and then

<DIV>by stage coach or wagon to the area of Bayview and Waldport.</DIV>

<DIV>The 1880 group went from Portland to the area aroud Hillsboro by</DIV>
<DIV>coach or wagon over a corderoy road. Wood rounds over dirt.</DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>I have a question about travel to Oregon in 1878. How
many different ways<BR>did people come to Oregon? I am tracking an
ancestor that was in Nebraska<BR>in 1870 (1870 Fed Census) and was married in
Oregon in 1876 or 78. I don't<BR>think he came out on a wagon train, but
maybe via railroad? I just need to<BR>know what to persue
