Edward Duncan in the 1910 Coos County census appears to be
her father. I could not find him in the 1920 census and I couldn't find
him in the Oregon Death Index. IF this is the correct family, he is listed
as age 28 in 1910 and shows a birthplace as Arkansas.

If you want to verify his name, you could request a copy
of the delayed birth certificate for Edith Alice Duncan from the Oregon State
Archives. I sent an e-mail to the State Archives over the weekend for
a death certificate and got a .pdf file of the scanned document today
attached to an e-mail and a bill for sending in my payment. The delayed
birth certificate file should include the information submitted to prove the
information on the birth certificate so that should have her father's
name. I believe that Les Chapman offered to check about copies in Douglas
County when he goes there next.

I believe if you want to know the cost prior to actually
ordering it, you can request an e-mail giving you an estimate of the cost of the
copies and then place your order after you know the cost. <FONT
