<DIV><FONT size=2>It is possible I have gotten incorrection information but I had that Jesse Day filed a plot plan for Dayton WA in 1871 with the Columbia County Audtior. I had kind of assumed perhaps that the city was named after Jesse Day. I haven't looked into Joel Palmer in Dayton WA but I have associated him with Dayton Oregon. If I remember correctly there is a restaurant in Dayton Oregon in the "Palmer House".</FONT></DIV>
