<DIV>Diane,</DIV> <DIV>James Polk Gearhart married Margaret Ann Davis and William H. Gearhart married Eliza Ellen Davis Metcalf (a widow of George Mefcalf). The Davis girls were sisters of my husband, Norm's great grandmother, Hannah Jane Davis Clark. The Gearhart brothers came to Oregon with their father in the 1850's. You can find more history about them in the History of Grant, Baker , Harney and Malheur Counties. Both Gearhart brothers are buried near here. </DIV> <DIV>Anne Clark</DIV> <DIV>Drewsey,Oregon <BR><BR><B><I>Diane <elder@gooselake.com></I></B> wrote:</DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE class=replbq style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #1010ff 2px solid"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2900.2802" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> <DIV><FONT color=#000080>There is a Gearhart Mountain in eastern Klamath County...Lew McArthur gives the naming of that mountain credit to pioneer ranchers James
