<DIV><BR></DIV>HI, I remember that Columbus Day storm quite well. I was
raised in The Dalles, and even a bit of the winds reached there I think.
Anyway, it was called Typhoon Freda. We really razzed my grandmother, as
her name was Freda. <BR>The storm did damage on the coast, blowing down
trees, and also blew out some of the windows in the Memorial Colleseum here in
