size=2>Based on the date listed in 1920, which indicates he was naturalized in
1891, and the fact that Thomas S. was born in Stillwater in Sept of 1891,
according to the 1900 census, I'd be checking in the Washington County, MN for
the naturalization papers. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

only done one or two naturalizations, and found them in county courthouse

get some names of people and courthouses.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

to read my notes and the census I copied at the archives. My eyes must
be a lot worse than they were a few years ago when I made the copy. I
think they only asked about citizenship in the 1910 and 1920 census but am not
sure of that. I need to go to the library and use Heritage quest to look
them up again so I can actually read what it says. If you have access
and good eyes maybe you could read what it says. </SPAN></FONT></P>

an ancestor that has the NA in that column and I assumed it meant
Naturalized, but when I tried to obtain the naturalization papers for that
person, using the date, place etc. I was told by the people that provide
those documents that na meant not applicable and that the person was not
