unusual. Another thing is that Flynn is a very common Irish

grandmother that was the Flynn, it was her mother Genevieve. She named

On his death certificate it gives his father’s name as Daniel but the name for
the mother is “unknown”. I suspect she may have died when he was born
and the family may have never mentioned her name so he didn’t know it or if he
did, he never talked about her to his wife or children. On most of the
census I have seen it gives Catherine’s parents as being born in

Genevieve Flynn the mother of Catherine was a relative of Daniel Flynn, Sr. it

each of them, and the second is the date of naturalization -- again,

I need to be clear on is the first date in the parentheses the year they
came to the states and is the year after the NA the year they were
supposedly naturalized? I have never been able to find Catherine’s
parents or her before her marriage to Daniel. I did find him when he
was single and living with a family named Casey when he was in his early

listed in 1920, which indicates he was naturalized in 1891, and the fact
that Thomas S. was born in Stillwater in Sept of 1891, according to the
1900 census, I'd be checking in the Washington County, MN for the
naturalization papers. </SPAN></FONT></P></DIV>
