anything except the name of the minister who performed the ceremony, their

were probably cousins and that is why he came to </span></font><font size=2

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>. I have a lot of
first cousins marrying in my family so it wouldn’t have been that
unusual. Another thing is that Flynn is a very common Irish name.</span></font></p>

10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>It wasn’t Catherine’s
grandmother that was the Flynn, it was her mother Genevieve. She named
her only daughter after her mother. </span></font></p>

10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>Daniel came to </span></font><font size=2
color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'> when he was only 6 from </span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'>Ireland</span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>. This would have
been during the famine. Catherine was born in </span></font><font size=2
color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'>New Brunswick</span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'> and I think that Daniel
probably came with his father whose name was also Daniel Flynn. On his
death certificate it gives his father’s name as Daniel but the name for
the mother is “unknown”. I suspect she may have died when he
was born and the family may have never mentioned her name so he didn’t
know it or if he did, he never talked about her to his wife or children.
On most of the census I have seen it gives Catherine’s parents as being
born in </span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>New Brunswick</span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'> also. If Genevieve Flynn the mother of Catherine was a
relative of Daniel Flynn, Sr. it might explain why he came to </span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'>Canada</span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'> first instead of the </span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'>United States</span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>. I know that it
was cheaper to go to </span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>Canada</span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'> than the </span></font><font size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>US</span></font><font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:navy'> so that may have also been a factor.</span></font></p>

only about 3 and Daniel came much later but they both ended up in </span></font><font

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'> because that is where
