<DIV>I am wondring if anyone might have access to obituary notices from the area newspapers for the following people:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Alex Poston/Posten b. Dec 1824 In Hampshire Co., VA and died Oct. 1889 in Woodlawn, Multnomah Co., OR</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Wife was Dicy (Polk/Paulk) Poston/Posten. b. 7 Jan 1822 in Indiana and died 30 Sep 1901 in Woodlawn, Multnomah Co., OR</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Both are buried in Columbia Cemetery in Portland. </DIV>

<DIV>My "brick wall" is Dicy. I am trying to find her parents. We know she was born in Indiana, possibly Knox Co. Depending on the documents I have, her maiden name is spelled as Polk or Paulk. Same with the husband, sometimes his name spelled as Poston and sometimes Posten, although he descends from Poston family of MD/VA. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>In 1870 OR census, they were living in Eugene, Lane Co., OR. Alex was a lawyer.</DIV>

<DIV>Any help would be sincerely appreciated!</DIV>
