I believe the Donation Land Claims ended in 1854 or '56 (can't remember
which) I know they did in Portland area and I think it was territory
wide<br>

1847 wagon train with children...Thomas, Elias, Nancy, Almeda,
Robert, and Elizabeth settled in Linn county 5 miles E. of Albany.</div>

donation land claim on the coast in the area now known as Gearhart,
Oregon came to Oregon between the 1850 census and 1864 when he married
Eliz. MAXWELL, parents mentioned above.</div>

<div>BEAMER, Marion and Jennie (JAMISON) arrived in
Independence/Salem area between 1880 & 1890 with Allen, Perry, Maud
and Etta. He was a carriage trimmer.</div>

Colorado w/ Larry, Elaine & Adith. He earned his doctorate at UO.</div>

2nd wife Daisy BURRILL and 3 children to Eugene. Had a store there.</div>

<div>LEWIS, Samuel born in England, moved to MN as a child, then to
Alberta, Canada. Asked his son-in-law, Glenn BEAMER (son of Allen
Beamer above) where someone could live and not be so cold. Oregon was
mentioned and down they came to Eugene in 1920.</div>
