In my earlier post about Oregon names I mentioned the family of James
and Rebecca Jane (Mathew) Smith, who moved to Oregon from Marion Co.,
IA. James was born in Fountain Co., IN, but he and Jane (as she was
called) were married in Marion Co., IA by Henry Bonebrake. From the
Marion Co., IA Marriage Register, Vol. 1, pp. 108-109, License No. 427,
Marion Co., IA Courthouse, Knoxville, IA:<br>
"427 James Smith to Rebecca Jane Mathew<br>
Date of License: June 30, 1854<br>
Date of Marriage: July 4, 1854<br>
Name of the Person by Whom the Marriage was Solemnized: Henry
Bonebrake
M.G.<br>
Return of Certificate: August 23, 1854."<br>
<br>
Would your think Henry fits into the William F. Bonebrake family
somewhere? Also, there were Bonebrakes in Hood River Co. (across the
Columbia River from Goldendale, WA) when I was growing up.<br>
