<DIV>Sorry to say that at the moment I don't have one of the Johnston books at 

hand.  I returned them to my friend and the library.  I have requested 

the 3rd one from the library so should be able to get the publisher in a few 

days.  The gentleman is correct who says that they are fictionalized.  

However, they could set your feet on the right path to some answers.  I 

know that I have enjoyed getting sidetracked into these stories.  I had no 

idea that so many of the settlers were killed prior to the Nez Perce leaving the 

Camas Prairie.  Anyway, a good read.  Good luck with your 

research.  Spokane has a lady who does research into the local tribal 

history for a fee if anyone is interested I could put you in touch with
