<DIV>The handheld units that you move yourself is very difficult to use. You
have to move it in a straight line and at a constant speed to get an even
romotely usable copy. I had one a few years back and unless they have made vast
improvements I would go with a flatbed scanner and separate printer as
suggested by someone else earlier. Good luck! The camera has worked well for me
so long as I could get the page to lie reasonable flat.</DIV>

generally built with a 9 x 11 flat bed or bigger, meaning the device will be
larger than that -- they are all rather light weight, except for the piece of
glass.<BR><BR>before the flatbed scanners took over, there used to be smaller,
hand held scanners available (Logitec comes to mind) and when used properly
they were rather useful, and certainly more portable than a flatbed.
scanner / printer combos do not seem to be tidy little devices either, but
they are improving.<BR><BR>Certainly open to options others have found to
