digitized book on “Google Books” that may be of interest to
others. It’s “The Oregonian's Handbook of the <st1:place

Edward Gardner Jones, published in 1894. It’s about 600 pages of
small articles about towns all over <st1:State w:st="on">Oregon</st1:State>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Washington</st1:State>, and <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">British
Columbia</st1:place></st1:State>, including beautiful engraved illustrations
of the scenery and buildings, plus photos of many important citizens. The
