source are the two books by Gregory Franzwa…Oregon Trail Maps and The <st1:State
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Oregon</st1:place></st1:State> Trail Revisited.
As much as I have worked with <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Oregon</st1:place></st1:State>
pioneers for the past 25 years I still am not a trail buff so when in doubt I
refer to Greg’s books. They are available at most public libraries and are

to <st1:City w:st="on">WallaWalla</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">WA</st1:State>
in 1883 and part of them branched off to establish a ranch in <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Wallowa</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">OR</st1:State></st1:place>
in 1893. The question is how does one determine what trail was used
and what train they were part of? The balance of their train
continued on into CA. Can you also suggest a few good reads or websites on this
