subject to bring out one of our family stories. My mother always
said the neighbors on their lane in Adair County, Iowa were: Ramsbottom,
Snelling, Steers, Butts, all in a row. I was shocked to find
<U>everyone</U> of those names on a census, proving Mother right.

<DIV><FONT size=3>I'm not so sure about her story that a school teacher
sent home a note to the Ramsbottom parents, saying that was a terrible
name & they should change it. The parents put the teacher in her place
when the note they sent back said they <U>had</U> changed their name. Use
your imagination for the original version. I surely hope that was just
another of Mother's stories, but you never know!</FONT></DIV>
