I can't find any of my Lamberts or Forrests in 1860. The
only one is William, brother of Achsah. Catherine Lambert's maiden name
is Wilson, so Erwin probably is her brother. I don't think there were on
the Oregon Trail yet as Achsah died in 1862 and Matilda was born 6 months
prior in Missouri. I wish I could get a hold of her death
certificate.

I don't' have grandparents for Achsah Lambert although I
>
> Do you have the images of John and Catherine in the 1850 amd
1860 census, I
> can send them to you off list if not.
>
>
I don't seem to be having much luck with the proximity search. Since
Lewis'
> father and family don't appeaar to have moved, I just ended up
searching
> thier neighborhood with no luck. Since fishing for names had
led me to
> bouncing around in the county, I decided the brute force
method might work
> better. about a third of the way through that it
occurred to me to look for
> the name Lambert.
>
> As I
understand it you main quest is to find Achsah's kin. Ironically I
have
> an Achsah in my family tree, but not a Lambert. Anyway searching
for TN born
> Lamberts in MO yields three names;
>
>
LAMBERT WM age 13 he is living with Erwin C. Wilson and wife Charlotte.
He
> being 34 b TN she 32 b AR other than she being b. AR it might be
she is a
> sister of Achsah for example and Wm is a little
brother.
>
> There is a Unity Lambert, age 30 possibly a widow
with four children in Ray
> Co, but the most interesting possibility is
Mose A Lamber age 31 in Liberty
> Twp, Barry Co. Next door to him is L
Lambertson age 75 b PA. I thought he
> was a Lambert at first, but there
"might" be a connection.
>
> Also do you know if Abram Forrest
who is found on page 971 is Kin? He is 51
> from SC wife Jane 50
Kentucky, daus Amanda 16 & Mary 5 b MO?
>
> Okay, I am going
to have to give up for the night, 12 pages short of
> scanning the whole
county, I will be out of town for rest of week, but will
> try to
remember to finish county as soon as I get back. I think I want to go
>
back through at least to a few pages before John and family and watch
more
> carefully for a Lewis-Achsah set that might be under some name
other than
> Forest or Lambert.
>
> Les C
>
>
