checked with the people who have the records of that cemetery and they said
there are only records for about 1/3 of the people there, then there is a
section that was used for generic burials with no markers and some other
things, its just a mess. Americans seem to be good at messing up records. What
gets me is a marker with his civil war year and no dates of birth or death, I
thought that was the most important thing to put on one.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

prehaps the engraver got the two mixed up, the Old Pioneer Cemetery in Eugene
