Could you please give the website for the Multnomah
Pioneer Cemetery? I have many family members buried there and am planning on
being buried there next to my gr grandmother, Ellen Jessup. I too have a gr
grandfather, Hulburt. Dewitt Cooper buried there, probably about 1907 but have
never found a death cert. for him. He doesn't have a headstone, only a wooden
4X4 sticking up in the back corner along with several others. It just has a
letter on it but not his initial. I went to the cemetery office several years
ago but they wouldn't look up the death record for me, saying it was too old and
fragile - so I still don't know just when he died.
Frustrating.

Metro oversees that and several pioneer cemeteries. They have a great
search system online and a pdf of the cemetery layout/graves. I sent an email
to them and have received extra online help from Emma Russac at Metro. She
looked up info, emailed me the headstone paperwork which was ordered in 1952.
Let me know if you need assistance.
