<DIV>Les,  Newspaper pages are available for newspapers published between 

1846-1922  are the years available for papers in Portland, Ontario,, Oregon 

City, Bend, Scottsburg, Coos Bay, Burns, Salem, Jacksonville, Medford and 

Klamath Falls.  I was just hoping to see his name there, so only searched 

Portland and Astoria.  since the death had not yet occured, it would not 

have been listed.  You can type in one name and search all the above 

papers....but it comes up with a zillion entries.  This is a beta site so
