Hi Layne - well, as I noticed, there are 2 maybe 3 Julia
Ann Coopers, this one as the carpet weaver, 1900, looks like the wrong one if we
have one in obit 1892. So I have put all these files in one folder so I can
compare what people find.

As with Walter, it just dont make sense how
some people with lands can just drop out of existence with out legal papers some
place.

I been 12 years on just these 2.

Also Tim Purdy sent me a file that hey had bought and sold
a hotel on Alturas about the same year of the divorce and his death. Or cease of
local existence. She, Julia was there too. I am in a mystery here on these
people.

One other story - is, my elder Aunt, 90 years
old in 1998, told me Julia was in family lore as adopted Cherokee, I have not
seen proof of that or proof of birth to the Cooper either.

I will stick to this one subject since it
seem the rest has no real mystery like this part.

I can call in and pay for copies ?

If they find any thing at all on Walter or Julia, any
years. I have the divorce papers, the probate ( Oregon one) and something about
continued in Marion co, I never found any thing on that.

In attempting to help Dan with this brick wall some time
back, I found an entry on the 1900 Polk Co census that looks to be a match for
Julia. If this is the same person she is going by her first married surname
and gave her years of marriage to coincide with her first marriage. I
love the occupation as well, “carpet weaver”.

She certainly was an elusive woman!
