<DIV>Of course as one of the biggest abuser of the few rules we are supposed to follow I would say that.</DIV>

<DIV>Okay as to Leabo; I find a Nancy from St Helens who posted a Leabo McCubbins item in 2006 who I think is still on the list? Interesting right under her was a post by a Karla Williams about an elusive ancestor, but no connection.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>Ah, I think the person you really need to talk to is Marsh Bradley-Luthy and I am pretty sure she is still on here.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>Beth Perry Johnston also has some kind of connection to the name.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>If you'd like I can extract what I have on the name Leabo (Williams unless in the same document being much more problematic) and email it to you off list. It will be a day or three before I can get around to it though as I am supposed to be catching up on my paper work instead of playing on the computer.</DIV>

<DIV class=plainMail>I realize this is off the current topic, but I wonder if the person on the list who had Leabo/Leabow in their family history is still around?<BR><BR>I was researching families associated with my McClintock families and one is Edgar. James Wilson Edgar married Eliza Frances McClintock; they are buried in Etna Cemetery, Polk Co., OR.<BR><BR>Three of the Edgar children married into a Williamson family in Oregon in the 1890s. The parents of these Williamson kids were Reuben Lewis Williamson and Nancy Ann Albertson. Reuben Lewis Williamson's parents were John Nelson Williamson and Catherine Ragan Emert. In looking for this family in the 1850 census, I can see there are Leabos, the family of Isaac Leabo (b. abt. 1805 TN), living close to them in Ray Co., MO. I wonder if these are the Leabos who are related to someone on this list? I remember we discussed possible connections at one time, but it was confusing to me.<BR><BR>Sorry to go on and on, but I noticed this name because I have Leabo by marriage associated with my Moore family in Linn Co., MO. Isham Leabo married Sarah Ann Moore abt. 1826 in Claiborne Co., TN. Sarah Ann Moore was a sister of my ancestor Squire Moore (1850 lived in Linn Co., MO), as well as of their youngest sister Lucinda Moore Lewis who died on the Oregon Trail in 1852 near Birch Creek, OR, wife of Fielding Lewis Jr. I know that Sarah and Isham Leabo were in Blount Co., TN in the 1850 census, where her parents (and Squire and Lucinda's) David and Margaret Moore lived.<BR><BR>I just wondered if these Leabos are connected or not.<BR><BR>Paulette<BR></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE></DIV></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></BLOCKQUOTE></BODY><pre>
