Rock, Jackson Co., OR in 1889... his dad, Edward F. Nichols was
born in IL in 1849 and farmed there before emigrating to Oregon
in the 1870's. His wife Anna Turnham was born in nearby Cass
Co., IL just a few homesteads away on the county line.<br>

Nichols, b 26 July 1909, who married Howard Winston Combs in
Medford on 2 Apr 1930? Howard is a first cousin, once removed.<br>
