I assumed on the Canada-English thing that I should just drop the English, it bothers me a little too to copy information that is clearly wrong, but if thems the rules we play by I guess I will play by the rules. I know the theory is we can't "know" when something is wrong, but I am pretty sure that the two females I had listed as Head and wife today were probably supposed to be a male and a female. I was suspicious of the daughter named Arthur yesterday, but that was one I clearly see the wisdom of not second guessing, people do do strange things. having a daughter and son-in-law of a couple in their late seventies followed by three of the old couples "children" ages 2 to 5 kind seemed wrong, but I guess that one is too obvious to need to be changed. Maybe that's why we aren't allowed to pick, I am pretty sure if I had been indexing 1880 Gardiner I would
have tried to slip the correct spelling of my great grand father past arbitration instead of leaving it so badly scrambled I had to scroll the pages to find them.

Les

--- On Fri, 4/6/12, W David Samuelsen <dsam52@sampubco.com> wrote:

From: W David Samuelsen <dsam52@sampubco.com>
Subject: [or-roots] common mistakes indexing 1940 census
To: "Or-Roots" <or-roots@listsmart.osl.state.or.us>
Date: Friday, April 6, 2012, 10:23 PM

1.
