<P>I don't know of any connection, but, like you say, it looks like a lot of coincidence for me. I am trying to put together what I have in my FTM program. When I get that done, I can send you a genealogy report to see if we can be of help to each other. Also, I will be posting the 1861 and 1881 census page on my document website in the next day or two. Feel free to take just take a look or join the group.</P>

<P>This is a link to the Rootsweb "tree" that I have. It won't have much on the Wheelers until I update it.</P>

<DIV>Barbara, I may have asked you this, but how do these Wheelers connect to my Samuel Franklin Wheeler and wife Alice Catherine Dwelley Wheeler? They came to the Eugene area from New York in the 1880's. They logged west of Eugene, then west of Cresswell and eventually the Silk Creek/Royal area. One thing you said below is that these Wheelers were Second Advent followers in Canada; my Wheelers were involved in the movement from early on. I figure that is too much coincidence.</DIV>

<DIV>Does anyone have access to the 1861 and 1881 Canadian Census? I am looking for a Lucas Wheeler born 1856 in Canada. I have the US but not the World <A href="http://ancestry.com/" target=_blank>Ancestry.com</A> subscription so any help would be appreciated. I am hoping that the 1861 will show him with his parents and siblings and that the 1881 will show him with a wife whose name is currently not known. If it is the correct person, he is in Eugene by the 1900 census with a second wife, one daughter by the first wife and twin boys by the second wife.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>In <A href="http://ancestry.com/" target=_blank>Ancestry.com</A>, he shows up in 1861 in Stanstead, Canada East.</DIV>
<DIV>In 1881 he is in Stanstead, Quebec.</DIV>
