that seems like enough evidence in my sloppy sort of
genealogy to accept I have the right people. I have a
Multnomah Co death in December of 1942 for John which
may or may not be the correct one since John Miller is
such and unusual name, but it would help me to
corroborate if I could track John and Susan and William
past 1880. One source lists Susan as dead before 1911
but no details and has John still in the Cottage Grove
area where I am not finding him after 1880. Oops, I
think I just found them, I had one last method, it turns
out there are only 358 Oregon born heads of family in
1910 in Oregon and I am pretty sure John W, Emma S with
26 year old son George in Seventh Ward 95th Pct
Multnomah county are my folks so the person supplied the
1911 date just jumped a whole bunch in cred since
before this I couldn't find corroboration of
George's birth.</font></div>

born in Oregon age 22 in 1880 (gee she seems to be only
30 in 1900? must be a clerical error.) and in 1860 in
Marion Co there is an SE age 3 dau of H Teeters, but
there the trail grows ver ver confused; I do find in
Sonoma county a James H about the right age, but born in
a different state than listed in 1860 and with a
different wife and they are in Cottage Grove in 1880
which would seem evidence of a connection to Susan, but
I haven't found her in 1870, nor any clue what happened
