Street and Mary were early settlers in Douglas County, Oregon. Mary kept a bible in which many earlier members of the Rice family were recorded (including Cordelia’s). The bible was referenced and partially transcribed in the 70/80’s by Stanley and Velma Rice and noted in their 1996 publication “Moses and Margaret Rice Family, from Canada to the West Coast, 1784-1996” I believe more information could be gleamed by obtaining a copy of the original. Stanley and Velma have passed as have most from whom they gathered their information. The location of the bible is unknown (to several currant researchers). It is not with the County Genealogical Society. Are any members of this list familiar with Rice descendants who might have access to or know anything about that bible? Any other suggestions as to where to look?
