in the Civil War from Wisconsin. Luman Calkins is in Clackamas County in 1870 and 1880 and appears to die there in 1893 according to probate record and findagrave. Always fun to find a bit more information to flesh people out.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

period the legislative assembly had to pass an act that finalized the divorce. In the records here it indicates that Wilson Fisher and Lucinda McFeely were married in 1844/45 in Indiana. (Ancestry has Indiana marriage records online and shows them married
April 18, 1844 in Montgomery County). The divorce action was begun by Wilson and he charged Lucinda with adultery during the time they were living in Washington County. By the time the court was taking testimony there are references to Lucinda being in Thurston
County or “Puget Sound” area.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Wilson was the 2nd husband of one of my Gr-Great Grandmothers, Rebecca Evarts Smith Fisher. I believe that they were married December 1853 in Lane County, although I have not yet found the marriage certificate. During the 10 years of their
marriage they had three children, Sarah, 1853-1867 and a set of twin boys, Daniel and George born in 1856. Unhappily, Daniel died as an infant of only one month. So the only child they raised to adulthood was George, and he, in fact was mostly raised by
his widowed mother. Life was hard.<o:p></o:p></p>
