<html><head></head><body><div class="yahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;"><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">So I got the brigth idea I could figure out the chain of ownership of our friend Janet's hoiuse by seeing who owned it in the 1930 census. So I pull up my Sanborn map and my tax lot map and a few other maps and conclude that her house is on Holiaday street in 1930. I start with the census record for the folks who owned my house originally since Janet is only about four blocks away. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><div><div>Oregon Douglas East Reedsport ED 26 page 3 A. Now at that time my house was on Winchester Ave which is now a block away because they changed naming when the took highway 38 out of my south yard and moved it to the next street over, but no big deal, I will just page through the whole district. Well that didn't turn out, so I will try some more of Reedsport.</div><div><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Anyway too make this not too much longer than it already is I page threough the other district in east Reedsport, which seems to go most of the way to Scottsburg and nothing on the other side of the tracks. So I try West Reedsport adn ED60 does start out on the right side of the tracks, but no Hiliday, no Water, no Mill and I don't remember seeing a number between 8 and 13 while I am looking for the block between tenth and eleventh on Holiday, and worse luck there are street names in the census that apparently the census taker made up becuase they aren't on any of my maps.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">To sum up for the whole town all I have is east with ED 26 adn 27 and west with ED 60 and 61 and my question is whether that really is all of Reedsport in 1930?</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Guess I will go try 1940.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Les Chapman</div><div><br></div></div><br></div></div></body></html>
