<p class="MsoNormal">This year 29 Oregon public libraries are summer food sites, that is double compared to last year! Even more libraries are bringing their summer reading program to summer food sites or coordinating their schedule with a nearby food site
to make summer learning and food available to more underserved youth than previous years. This is hard, but very important work!<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon highlight one of your success stories on their blog. I thought you might enjoy reading about
<a href="https://oregonhunger.org/blog/stanfield-public-library-summer-meals">Stanfield Public Library’s summer reading and food program</a>. The article also includes advice for folks who are considering becoming a first-time summer food site next year. Stanfield
is the first public library to also be a food site sponsor, meaning they have to buy and prepare the food themselves. Most libraries are food sites with an outside sponsor who does that for them and delivers the prepared food to the library. <o:p></o:p></p>
