and a Senior Archaeologist in our Portland, OR office. <br>
<br>
SENIOR ARCHAEOLOGIST<br>
Responsibilities: <br>
Daily activities will include technical and cost management of<br>
projects; and interaction with clients and regulators. Preparation of<br>
reports, laboratory analysis, and coordination of contributions of other<br>
staff to reports is a significant element of the position. Candidate<br>
must work cooperatively with managers, technical staff and<br>
administrative staff to ensure that projects meet US standards and<br>
conform to scopes of work, budgets and schedules. Travel and fieldwork<br>
throughout western US are required.<br>
<br>
The candidate will perform a variety of assignments, including design<br>
and implementation of archaeological inventory, evaluation and data<br>
recovery efforts; construction monitoring; prehistoric and historic<br>
artifact analysis, report and proposal preparation; and client and<br>
agency consultation. Assignments will primarily focus on Pacific<br>
Northwest, Great Basin, California and elsewhere.<br>

The candidate will be assigned to the Water and Environment Business<br>
Line in Portland, Oregon, but may be able to work from Chico, California<br>
or another “virtual” office in the U.S. <br>
<br>
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in<br>
directing a full range of archaeological investigations across a<br>
diversity of regions.<br>
<br>
Candidate will have the opportunity to utilize and expand a variety of<br>
technical skills, as well as skills in project management and business<br>
development.<br>
<br>
Requirements: <br>
Education:<br>
BA or B.S. in Anthropology<br>
<br>
Experience:<br>
Min. 10 years professional archaeological experience, including survey<br>
and excavations, laboratory analyses, technical report preparation and<br>
agency and client coordination.<br>
<br>
Knowledge of basic word processing and accounting software.<br>
<br>
Thorough knowledge of federal cultural resources, regulatory<br>
compliance, and experience providing regulatory consultation support for<br>
federal, state, municipal and/or commercial clients. Understanding and<br>
experience in all aspects of cultural resources management, including<br>
archaeology, history, architectural history, and native tribes of<br>
California, the Great Basin and the Pacific Northwest.<br>
<br>
Good writing and speaking abilities are critical to this position.<br>
Ability to travel on a regular basis.<br>
<br>
ARCHAEOLOGIST<br>

Candidate will participate in fieldwork and/or laboratory analyses and<br>
prepare sections of technical reports. May conduct pre-field or<br>
post-field research; act as a team member on inventory, site<br>
recondition, excavation, and/or laboratory studies; prepare graphics;<br>
and format final documents.<br>

client and agency consultation. Assignments will focus on the Pacific<br>
