which tend to receive little attention from the world outside China.
Addressing this need, we have collaborated with partners in China to bring you
<em>The Soul’s Paradise: Congjiang</em>, the latest video feature on our
nonprofit streaming-media Web site, <strong><em>The Archaeology
Channel</em></strong> (<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.archaeologychannel.org/"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1266949641_2">http://www.archaeologychannel.org</span></a>).</div>

<div><span style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1266949641_3">Ethnic minority groups</span> in Congjiang, a beautiful place in southeast China,
face a serious dilemma. People are poor and work hard to earn a living and
at the same time have a rich cultural heritage threatened by modern
influences. The <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1266949641_4">Beijing</span> <span style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1266949641_5">Cultural Heritage Protection Center</span> and <span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1266949641_6">UNESCO</span> are
implementing the China Culture and Development Partnership Framework to assist
ethnic minority groups in their cultural, socio-economic and political life and
empower them to manage cultural resources and benefit from culture-based
economic development.</div>
