<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: auto 0in"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman"><span style="COLOR: black">My name is Sarah Purdy-Silbernagel, and I am the current Association of Oregon Archaeologists (AOA) Secretary.  I wanted to make you aware of the AOA Research Grant that is awarded each year for up to $500.  </span>Grant recipients need not be members of the Association nor residents of Oregon, but their proposals must have a focus on Oregon archaeology.  Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in anthropology or related field, or have a sponsor with these qualifications who is an active participant or advisor in the project. Also, grant recipients are required to present their research at an AOA meeting, and are encouraged to publish in the Association’s Occasional Papers series or in CAHO, the Association’s newsletter.</font></font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: auto 0in"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The grant application deadline is February 1^st, so if you are interested please apply as soon as possible.  I have attached a copy of the grant application.  If you have any questions, please let me know.</font></p>
