<p style="MARGIN:0in 0in 0pt" class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><font face="Book Antiqua">I wanted to remind you that the AOA Research Grant, awarded each year for up to $500, is due today, February 1st.  Grant recipients need not be members of the Association nor residents of Oregon, but their proposals must have a focus on Oregon archaeology.  Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree in anthropology or related field, or have a sponsor with these qualifications who is an active participant or advisor in the project. Also, grant recipients are required to present their research at an AOA meeting, and are encouraged to publish in the Association’s Occasional Papers series or in CAHO, the Association’s newsletter.<span style>  </span>The grant recipient will be announced at the upcoming NWAC in Pendleton on March 16, 2012.<span style="COLOR:windowtext"></span></font></font></p>
