<p> </p><p>Mark Tveskov, Professor of Anthropology at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, will give a talk on May 23, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Education Room at the UOMNCH.</p><p>"Myth, Memory, and Identity: Fort Lane and the Rogue River Wars". This talk will describe the archaeological excavations, interpretations, and conservation efforts at Fort Lane State Heritage Area, a site used by the U.S. Army between 1853 and 1856 during the Rogue River Indian Wars of southern Oregon. <br clear="all">
