This year’s field school will initiate the re-investigation of Connley Cave #4 where Stephen Bedwell (1973) recovered charcoal dated to as much as 13,100 years. This site is the primary location from which Bedwell defined the ancient Western Pluvial Lakes Tradition but it also contains archaeology from the late prehistoric period to perhaps as much as 14,500 years!
