<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto">Dog remains from recent excavations in western Alaska and northwestern Greenland were combined with an Arctic<span style="font-family:"Cambria Math","serif"">$B!>(B</span>wide survey of over 500 ancient dog samples
from museum collections and researchers. Analysis of the temporal and spatial distribution of dog remains and their genetic characteristics demonstrate that domestic dogs colonized the North American Arctic in two waves, as evidence shows for human colonization.<o:p></o:p></p>
