<p class="MsoNormal">The City of Redmond is pleased to announce that the SWCA team has scheduled a colloquium on lithic artifacts from the Bear Creek site (45KI839), hosted by the University of Washington Quaternary Research Center. Presentations and discussion
will focus on the significant assemblage of stone tools made over 10,000 years ago at this site near the north shore of Lake Sammamish. Participants will include some of the research team led by SWCA Environmental Consultants including lithic analyst Amanda
Taylor, co-PIs Bob Kopperl and Kenneth M. Ames, and project geoarchaeologist Charlie Hodges, as well as several independent lithic experts – Bill Andrefsky, Jr., Steve Hamilton, Tom Jones, and Jim Woods – who have examined the collection and the data it has
generated. An open Q&A session will conclude the colloquium.<o:p></o:p></p>
