We need your help!
 
As we move into fall and our annual chapter elections, it is the perfect time for all of us to think about the future of our chapter and what we’d like to see happen. 

The direction the Oregon Capital Chapter is headed is up to us. Together, we can set the vision for what we’d like our chapter to be. Your responses will determine the direction in 2014 and beyond. Think about what is important to you. Please take a few minutes and let us know what you think.

PRSA Board Nominations are open.
 
Several of our long time board members will be stepping aside in 2014, creating an opportunity for additional chapter members to get involved in PRSA leadership.  This is the perfect time to step up and make our chapter even more successful. Get involved! Our chapter has many talented members with great insight. We need your good ideas to move us forward in the coming years. Being on the board offers an opportunity for career development, networking, job search mentoring, enhancing leadership skills and to get to know other members of the chapter better.

The following positions are open for nomination in 2014:

President – Leads the board, coordinates chapter activities and serves as the main liaison between the chapter and national.
President Elect – Leads the board in the absence of the president, helps coordinate chapter activities
Secretary/Treasurer – Keeps chapter finances in order, collects funds, pays invoices, takes notes at board meetings
VP Professional Development – Books speakers and presentations for chapter luncheons (with the help of other board members)
VP Membership – Helps recruit and retain members, keeps membership list up-to-date
VP Web Design/Social Media – Keeps chapter web page and Facebook page up-to-date
