Should you tweet that? Find out on Sept. 3 when Kelli Matthews from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communications teaches us about social media ethics.
Lunch and networking start at 11:30 a.m. at Broadway Commons in Salem. Program starts at noon.
$15 for members, $20 for non-members, $10 for program only (no lunch) and $10 for students with identification.
Registration instructions are posted on the chapter website. RSVP by Sept 1 to ensure your spot on the roster. http://oregoncapitalprsa.org/events/
PR practitioners need to be at the forefront, discussing and defining ethical behavior in social media. What is astroturfing? Is ghostblogging ethical? Is a social media policy a helpful tool? How can practitioners stay on their toes and ensure any social media communication is ethical and responsible? Join us Sept. 3.
Kelli Matthews has been teaching public relations and social media for 10 years in the School of Journalism and Communication. In addition to her work at the SOJC, she is the managing director at Verve Northwest Communications, a full-service PR, marketing communications and design firm.
It's going to be a great program. Can't wait to see you all there!
