Please pardon the repeat notice, our 5th Annual Flu Summit has been moved to September 30th due to a conflict with another important influenza meeting in Portland on the 16th.

Below is the revised announcement and attached are revised agenda and save-the-date.

Announcing the 5th Annual Oregon Flu Summit!
 
Save-the-Date!  Please help us by sharing this announcement with your community and vaccination partners!  This no-cost educational meeting is being brought to you by the Oregon Adult Immunization Coalition and its supporting agencies.  
 
Our annual Flu Summit will be held on September 30th from 9:30-3:30 at the Monarch Hotel in Clackamas, Oregon.  The curriculum will use both lecture and interactive to provide: 
§        an overview of influenza 
§        examine State and National efforts to prevent influenza 
§        plenary topics on chronic disease and their relationship with influenza, 
§        interactive workshops:
o       Vaccine storage & Handling 
o       Vaccine administration & recommendations
o       Media contacts, press releases, & clinic announcements
o       ALERT IIS and influenza

Our intended audience includes all immunization providers, public health staff, employee health specialists, infection control specialists, hospital administrators, health educators, medical assistants, nursing home and long-term care administrators, tribal health, health professional students, immunizing pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, and other immunization stakeholders.
