Dr. Daniel Morris, Oregon Tracking's epidemiologist, will be presenting "Promoting Radon Testing and Mitigation in Oregon" this morning. We welcome you to attend in person or participate remotely*.

Promoting Radon Testing and Mitigation in Oregon

Portland State Office Building - 800 NE Oregon St., Room 1B

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas formed by the natural breakdown of uranium in rock, soil and water. Colorless, odorless and tasteless, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. In this presentation we identify geologic formations in the Portland area associated with higher radon hazards, and assess the impact of recent educational efforts to promote radon testing and mitigation
