Scope of the Position - Closes November 28, 2014
The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention (HPCDP) Evaluation Specialist provides high-level evaluation support to the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention section, with particular attention focused on program activities aimed at improving population-based nutrition. This research analyst will be the project lead for intervention evaluations and will provide guidance and consultation to other staff in research design, analysis techniques, concepts, methodologies and studies.
In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for the provision of technical assistance in evaluating health promotion and chronic disease prevention activities. They will analyze data, prepare written reports, summarize data for publication in OHA reports and in scientific journals, and represent OHA/Public Health Division to other state agencies, federal funding agencies, local health departments and community organizations.
