Tracking Awareness Week

July 9th - 13th, 2018

Join Oregon Tracking and Center for Disease Control (CDC) for National Environmental Public Health Tracking Awareness Week (Tracking Awareness Week) during July 9th-13th, 2018. CDC, state and local health departments, and national partners are coming together to highlight environmental health issues important to improving the health of our nation and to recognize the work of the Tracking Program. Daily topics relate to this year's theme: Healthy Communities.

The Oregon Environmental Public Health Tracking program (Oregon Tracking) provides information about environmental hazards and the health problems that may be related to them. It presents what we know about where environmental hazards exist, where exposures happen, and how targeted action can protect health, reduce illness, and save lives. The Tracking Network is a unique resource that brings together environmental and health information that cannot be found, or is hard to find, anywhere else.
Events:
Monday: Health Equity (Community Design & Transportation)
Tuesday: Children (Asthma & Lead)
Wednesday: Rural/Urban communities (Extreme Heat & Drinking Water)
Thursday: Women's Health (Heart Disease & Cancer)
Friday: Healthy Schools (Air Quality & Physical Activity)
