Subject: Climate & Health Epidemiologist Position

The Oregon Health Authority’s Climate & Health Program is hiring an

Epidemiologist to join our team. We are looking for a highly analytical public health professional with excellent communication skills to develop a statewide assessment and public health adaptation plan for Oregon. This person will work closely with internal
and external partners to inventory existing datasets and develop an assessment plan to quantify the health impacts of climate change. This person will also be responsible for identifying vulnerable populations, which will include the creation of a climate
vulnerability index. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multiple sectors outside of public health, thrive in developmental projects, and work well in a team setting. Though this position requires many of the same skills that many epidemiologists
have, it is not typical epidemiological work. This program is funded through the CDC’s
Climate Ready States and Cities Initiative.
