Good morning,
I hope this email finds you well and that everyone was able to find rest and relaxation this weekend. Thanks to those of you working hard to maintain your organization's operations or working on the front lines to keep our communities safe. My thoughts are especially with those of you facing uncertainty. An update on our grant cycles and other information -
RTP Grant Cycle: I'm opening the RTP grant cycle as planned this Wednesday, April 1. Letters of intent are due on https://oprdgrants.org by April 30 and applications are due June 15. I'm hosting a webinar on April 8 and will post a recording and copy of the slides on our website afterwards. Applicants can get in touch with me if COVID-19 impacts your ability to meet the application deadlines and I'll try to be flexible as needed and as possible. I'm sensitive to the fact that RTP funds are important for our land managers, communities, and local economies, but also understand that disruption on your end may make these deadlines challenging to meet. LWCF and LGGP Grant Cycles: These programs are both open and applications are due very soon. Links for both programs here: https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/GRA/Pages/GRA-overview.aspx
Summit RFP: The combined Oregon Outdoor Recreation and Trails Summit is planned for October 19-20 and session proposals are being accepted through May 1. The themes for this year's Summit are partnership and action. We see so much great work through ORTAC and RTP that deserves to be highlighted - please considering submitting a proposal! Learn more on the Summit website<https://web.cvent.com/event/b826cc55-59c5-4a55-8545-5b411dfa974a/websitePage:fcf47cde-1148-4a7b-804d-b0f152022c4a?rp=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000>.
Webinars: While some of you might find your schedules freed up a bit, now is a great time to catch up on trail related webinars! The Oregon Trails Coalition is hosting a Signature Trails webinar<https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_AIEgIZVRT2yMZ3BNrPM9Yw> at noon today and you can find previous webinars on the Coalition Blog<https://www.oregontrailscoalition.org/blog-1>. American Trails is hosting two free webinars<https://www.americantrails.org/training/webinars> soon, one on motorized trail design and the other focused on equestrian design. You can find their past webinars here<https://www.americantrails.org/training/webinarArchive>, only some of them free of charge.
COVID-19 Resources: While I'm sure your inboxes are filling up with COVID-19 information and resources, I wanted to make sure these are on your radar.
