The State has released an RFP for new one foot and six inch orthoimagery with hosting/storage, and optional lidar. The statement of work and specifications are here<http://www.oregon.gov/geo/OGIC%20Documents/ImagerySOW.2017.03.14.pdf>. The goal is to build an imagery program that provides consistent cyclical statewide coverage at one foot resolution and six inch resolution for larger metropolitan areas. We will be funding this initial procurement via partnerships between state agencies, local/regional governments, federal agencies and perhaps other stakeholders. Proposals are due the first week of April. We will have more information about cost, etc., after the proposals have been evaluated. Feel free to pass this message along to others you believe may be interested. We're using this listserv as one means of getting the message to potentially interested parties.
The partnerships will require interagency or intergovernmental agreements between the Geospatial Enterprise Office in the Office of the State CIO and each partner. While this is not the ideal situation, it's the only available option currently to enable this kind of pooled funding approach. If you have an interest in participating in this partnership, depending on the funding, timing, etc., please let me know as soon as possible. We're not asking for a commitment at this point, just gauging interest and getting a list of interested stakeholders. Also, if you have requirements that are not accommodated in the statement of work and specifications<http://www.oregon.gov/geo/OGIC%20Documents/ImagerySOW.2017.03.14.pdf>, let us know and we'll see if we can include those requirements in the negotiations with the selected contractor.
